Working Together for a Healthier Life
As part of our passion for caring, St. Joseph Hospital has taken the fight against cardiovascular disease to a new level. The Cardiovascular Center is the region's first state-of-the-art facility to offer both comprehensive and dedicated cardiac and vascular services in one convenient location.
Cardiovascular disease, an ailment of the heart and blood vessels, is a major health problem in our society. The American Heart Association estimates that one in five Americans have some form of cardiovascular disease, whether that be heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol or vascular disease. Unfortunately, because these diseases develop gradually, many of these people are not diagnosed and go untreated.
While these statistics may seem alarming, cardiovascular disease is a treatable condition that can be prevented through screenings and risk assessments. At The Cardiovascular Center our philosophy is to prevent, diagnose and treat patients for both heart and vascular disease.
