Amy Guilfoil-Dumont, RN, MSN, CCRN Director of Cardiovascular Services The Cardiovascular Center Ms. Dumont has extensive experience in cardiovascular and critical care nursing. Since joining St. Joseph Hospital in October of 2000, she has been involved with the clinical and program development of The Cardiovascular Center. The Cardiovascular Center at St. Joseph Hospital incorporates numerous cardiovascular services: cardiac rehabilitation; cardiac catheterization laboratory; electrophysiology laboratory, vascular angiography; diabetes education; nutrition therapy, wound care; anticoagulation therapy, lipid management; pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular diagnostics, including stress testing, electrocardiography, and cardiac and vascular sonography, and therapeutic services. The ongoing goal is to strive for a multidisciplinary cardiovascular center of excellence. As an administrator, clinical practitioner and educator, she is a strong advocate for using education and community partnerships to prevent and control Ms. Dumont is a frequent speaker on clinical and ethical issues and has been published in PRN and the Annals of Emergency Medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Heart Association, and Sigma Theta Tau, Eta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses. She has been the recipient of many awards for excellence in nursing. Ms. Dumont received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Anselm College and her Master of Science in Nursing from Salem State College. |
