Medical Expertise

Jie Cheng, MD, Ph.D Medical Director Leading the medical staff at St. Joseph Business & Health is Jie Cheng, MD, Ph.D. Dr. Cheng is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She received her medical degree from Shanghai Medical University in China, and her Ph.D in Neuroscience from Cornell University Medical College in New York. After an internship as a Clinical Assistant Instructor at SUNY at Stony Brook/University Hospital in New York, Dr. Cheng completed her residency as a chief resident at Harvard Medical School/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Massachusetts. Dr. Cheng is experienced in musculoskeletal injury, pain management, and EMG/Nerve conduction testing. Dr. Cheng has many years of experience in treating work related injury and return to work rehabilitation. While offering patients quality medical care is the focus of Dr. Cheng’s interests, she also offers patient education regarding their related medical conditions and other wellness related issues such as home exercise programs. With her years of experience in rehabilitation medicine, she offers input to physical therapists, nurse case managers and employers to facilitate the care for the injured workers.

Trudi Buckley, R.N., ARNP Nurse Practitioner Trudi Buckley, a nurse practitioner specializing in Occupational Health. Ms. Buckley holds a Masters of Science degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Prior to joining St. Joseph Business & Health, she was an instrumental figure in the Health Services Department at Kollsman, Inc., where she provided direct episodic care, managed workers’ compensation cases, and administered the company’s ergonomic program. She is a member of the New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner Association and former vice president of the New Hampshire Association of Occupational Health Nurses. A top-notch staff rounds out the professionals at St. Joseph Business & Health, Occupational Health Services, and includes a case manager, medical assistant, and administrator. With more than 25 years of combined experience, the members of our occupational health team bring to each case a keen understanding of your needs and priorities - particularly in the area of workers’ compensation. • Federal Department of Transportation physical exams with a set of defined guidelines, required every two years for transportation workers
• Post-offer exams
