How to Transfer a Prescription
It is best for all prescriptions to be new from the physician, but we are happy to call your current pharmacy to transfer any medications. Please note this process may take more time. When you call for a prescription to be transferred, please give us at least one day to fill it. We will need the pharmacy name and phone number and the Prescription # and/or the name of the drug.Prescriptions for maintenance drugs must be written for the full 90 days by the physician, and cannot be transferred. Prescriptions can be dropped off or most can be faxed in by the physician.
If you are unsure what your copay may be, you can go online: www.anthemprescription.com
1. Go to Member Online Pharmacy Services
2. You can then log in and open an account or go to Forms and Documents on the right side.
3. In Forms and Documents Lists, there is a link to Search the National Drug List/Formulary.
4. Once there, you can enter the name of your medicine and click search. It will tell you if the medicine is Tier 1 (generic), Tier 2, or Tier 3. This will help you determine your copay.
