We will bill your health plan, including Medicare and Medicaid, on your behalf. If you have more than one health plan, St. Joseph Hospital will bill additional insurance carriers.
Bills and statements will be sent on a timely basis. St. Joseph Hospital will send you a statement, following your insurance carrier payment notifying you of your obligation. If you have no insurance, a bill will be sent to you within a few days. Following the initial bill, you will receive monthly statements. If your account remains unpaid, you will also receive two phone calls.

Free care is available for patients who qualify. If your family's income is less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines, you may qualify for assistance with all or a portion of your self-pay balance.
