ST JOSEPH HOSPITAL DONATION POLICY (Food, In-Kind and Monetary)

To the Greater Nashua Community:

First, please know how much all of us at St. Joseph Hospital have greatly appreciated the outpouring of generosity and support from our local community members and businesses throughout this pandemic. Your donations have offered relief, sustenance, critical protection and perhaps most importantly, compassion for our essential workers. As we enter the most critical period of the COVID pandemic, we feel blessed knowing that we can continue to rely on your steadfast and open-hearted support.

Moving forward, we would like to offer some guidance on how you can continue to best support our staff during this crisis:

  1. GIVE TO THE ST. MARGUERITE D'YOUVILLE FUND Donations made to this fund will support patients and employees faced with unforeseen expenses due to this or any other unexpected crisis. Examples include prescription assistance, mortgage payments, heating bills and more. 100% of all gifts to this fund are allocated directly to expenses. To give online, go to: https://www.stjosephhospital.com/support-st-joes/covid19_dyouvillefund

  2. DONATE NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS TO THE ST. JOE'S EMPLOYEE FOOD PANTRY: The Employee Food Pantry is available to provide emergency, non-perishable food to SJH employees, volunteers, and School of Nursing students in a confidential and dignified manner. Recipients may be eligible to receive assistance weekly, with emergency service available. With the financial strain that has been caused by the COVID pandemic, the food pantry is needed now more than ever to support our essential workers. Food and personal care donations can be dropped off at the main entrance of the hospital any time between 8am and 7pm.  Any questions? Please contact Tara Collins at tacollins@sjhnh.org

  3. DONATE A RESTAURANT GIFT CARD TO A UNIT/FLOOR:  While we have recently made the decision to restrict 'ready-to-eat' food donations at the hospital, another way you can support our front line staff is by donating a restaurant gift card to a floor/unit.  To make a donation, please contact Deb Tighe at dtighe@covh.org

PLEASE NOTE: We are no longer accepting ready-made food donations (pizza, sandwiches, et.) to the hospital
