Childbirth Center

We know that you have a choice when it comes to where to deliver your baby. We want you to know that we don't have a long list of rules - just a lengthy record of happy moms and healthy newborns. At the Childbirth Center, our focus is entirely on you. Your special needs. Your individual style.

Our promise is to make your birthing experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. But don't take our word for it. Happy moms and dads have consistently ranked our family centered maternity program among the top 10% of programs in the country for patient satisfaction.

Our spacious newly renovated labor rooms accommodate both you and your family while awaiting the birth of your child. One to one nursing care will guide you through your labor and birth. Nitrous oxide is only one of the many labor support options available to you. After delivery we keep you and your baby together for the remainder of your hospital stay. Our expert all-registered nurse staff coordinates the care for you and your baby to minimize interruptions and maximize learning about your newborn's unique needs and personality.

As one of a very few hospitals in the country to hold the Baby Friendly™ designation we have a fully trained staff available to you 24 hours a day to support you in successfully breastfeeding. Our certified lactation consultant is also available to you for private consultations before you deliver, while you are in the hospital and for ongoing support after discharge.

Our dietary staff offers room service so you can order your meals delivered to you on your schedule. Before you go home, we also offer a delicious Celebration Dinner for you and your significant other.

What sets us apart?

  • We offer Nitrous Oxide as an alternative method of pain management during labor.
  • Our cesarean section rate is one of the lowest in the state - less than both the state and national average!
  • Our exclusive breastfeeding rate exceeds the benchmarks set by Baby Friendly™ and the Joint Commission.
