David R Kosofsky, DPM is originally from Connecticut and was educated in the Meriden and West Harford public school system. He graduated from William H. Hall High School in West Hartford in 1974.

Dr. Kosofsky attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison New Jersey where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1978.

Dr. Kosofsky received his doctorate from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland Ohio in 1982.

In his residency training (1982-1984) at the West Roxbury Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, he acquired extensive skills in bone and joint surgery, trauma care, along with medical and surgical management of the diabetic.

In 1991, Dr. Kosofsky became Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has been a Diplomat of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons since 1991. Another honor includes being a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association.

Professional memberships include the American Podiatric Medical Association since
1982 and the New Hampshire Podiatric Medical Association since 1984. Dr. Kosofsky served for 8 years as President of the NHPMA (1986-1994). He serves on the Northeast Healthcare Foundation in Dover New Hampshire as a peer review consultant. Dr. Kosofsky was appointed by Governor Benson to the Board of Registration in Podiatry in 2003 and was reappointed back to the board in 2007 by Governor Shaheen, where he currently will serve until 2012.

Professional awards include being honored as the first "Podiatrist of the Year" in 1999 by the New Hampshire Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Kosofsky was voted "Top Doctor" by the physicians in New Hampshire as published in the New Hampshire Magazine in 2002 and 2009.

Community Memberships include the Rotary Club of Nashua West since 1985. Dr. Kosofsky served on the board of directors on three separate terms over a 25 year period and he is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. While a member of the American Cancer Society of Hillsborough South from 1985-1988, he served as president from 1986-1988. He served on the board of directors of Temple Beth Abraham in Nashua from 1987-1992.

Dr. Kosofsky enjoys treating the medical and surgical problems which plague the active adult and pediatric community in Nashua. Other interests include bunion and hammertoe surgery, treatment of heel pain, mechanical and surgical treatment of adults' and children's foot ailments, orthotic therapy and laser surgery. Heel pain and the surgical correction of bunions and hammertoes are the most common ailments he treats in practice. He has been on the active staff at St Joseph Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center since 1985.

In his personal life Dr. Kosofsky enjoys snow skiing with his family, woodworking and antique collecting. In the office there is an impressive display of antique shoes that he has been collecting for over 25 years.

 

Howard Wagenberg, DPM is originally from Michigan where he graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters degree.

After earning his doctorate at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1979, he then completed a surgical residency at Hutzel Medical Center in Michigan. He is currently a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Wagenberg is certified in laser surgery and is a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association.

Dr. Wagenberg served a 10 year term on the New Hampshire Board of Registration which is a governor appointed position. He was also a board member of the Surgicenter at St. Joseph hospital. His professional memberships include the American Running and Fitness Association, American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association and the New Hampshire Podiatric Medical Association.

He has been an active staff member at St. Joseph hospital and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for over 30 years.

Dr. Wagenberg is married with 3 children. He is an active sports enthusiast and enjoys running, hiking, skiing, biking, and weight training.

Michael F. Kelly, DPM, AACFAS St. Joseph Hospital Podiatry is pleased to announce the arrival of Michael F. Kelly, DPM, to their highly-skilled Foot and Ankle surgery practice. Dr. Kelly is a board-certified podiatrist with advanced fellowship training in pediatric and adult foot and ankle surgery.

“Dr. Kelly is a respected foot and ankle specialist and we’re thrilled to have him join our team,” said Donald Reape, M.D., Medical Director of Physician Practices, St. Joseph Hospital. “His advanced training and specialized skills working with pediatric patients enables us to expand our service offerings.”

Dr. Kelly earned his medical degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago and completed his residency with a focus on reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Steward-St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, Mass. Dr. Kelly completed his fellowship training in Atlanta, Ga. with an emphasis on hindfoot and ankle deformity reconstruction, pediatric and adult flatfoot and complex revision surgery.

“I’m excited to join the great team at St. Joseph Hospital Podiatry and I look forward to meeting the community,” said Dr. Kelly. "As a specialist, I believe in the importance of listening carefully to my patients and performing a thorough exam to determine exactly what the problem is. This allows me to provide a comprehensive explanation of their diagnosis and recommended a treatment plan.”  

Dr. Kelly has an interest in pediatric foot care and has helped young athletes excel in their training. He is an active volunteer with the Boston Marathon and has spent time working as the Fit Feet Clinical Director of the Special Olympics in Massachusetts and Wisconsin.

He is an associate member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management.
